DYING FOR DENIM

Models Michael Smoley and Tilda Lindstam are draped from head to toe in denim for the editorial for Interview Magazine.  Shot by Robbie Fimmano, Michael and Tilda takes hospital attire to another level in this story entitled Emergency Boom.

MY EYES ARE PLAYING TRICKS ON ME

OMG, when I first saw these images, I smiled because Robert Mapplethorpe happens to be one of my favorite artists.  After the second or third image in, I realized that it in fact wasn't him, in fact its model Nick Rea made up to look like him.  How scary!!! Its soooo convincing.  Photographed by Jean Baptiste Mondino, and styled by Serg Girardi,  Numéro Homme does a fantastic job with this S/S 2011 homage.  The editorial captures the very essence of the controversial but legendary icon.

(below is a picture of the REAL Mapplethorpe.)

I WILL "PiK" A PAIR FOR MYSELF

ITS OFFICIAL!!!! Christian Louboutin has me wanting to wear sneakers.  Check out these heavily studded multi colored kicks call PIK PIK.  These will have you stopping traffic in its tracks, and they should for 1200 big ones.

If you are still insistent on wearing a hard bottom, check out these other Loub's.  They were showcased in Marlon Gobel's Fall  runway show.

Jean//Phillip Fall 2011

Remaining consistent to the line, designer Jean//Phillip moves forward with his avant garde structures for his Fall 2011 collection.  Like previous seasons, the collection  remains monochromatic, gives us chic flowing fabrics with amazing drapes.

KNEEL TO G7 MAGAZINE

Obviously influenced by Captain Spock, and General Zod, G7 Magazine delivers a futuristic fashion shoot entitled The Visitors. Styled by Antonella Arismendi, and shot by Anita Nava, this alien inspired editorial uses great architecture and models Ulrico Eguizabal and Jose Depalanques.

BAG IT UP!!!

Why I torture myself like this I will never know.  Since day one of me starting this blog, I always said how important it is for a man to have a distinguished bag or two, or three in his life.  Just the other day, I saw a man old enough to be my grandfather with a backpack on.  And no, he wasn't going hiking... He was going to work.  I shook my head and kept to myself, although I desperately wanted to say something.  Anyways, I just recently came across Louis Vuitton's bags for their Fall 2011 collection.  Check them out for yourself.

The Face To Watch

Half Japanese, half Swedish model Tony Thornburg is one of my latest picks in my The Face To Watch series.  I love this guys look.  Standing 6'2, the Hawaiian native is with Fushion Models.
Showing off his slim yet defined long limbs, check out this pictorial of Tony shot by Sean Watters.
